Merlin’s Cabin is detached and set apart from the other cottages. It has a rustic feel with its own paddock where the horses used to roam.
Outside there is a veranda where guests can enjoy a glass of wine, or a spot of lunch under the welcome shade of crab apple tree, whilst watching the birds nest and squirrels scamper about. It's a secluded therefore private cottage which enables one to easily forget the stresses of modern living. Surrounded by trees and hedges, the only thing to disturb you is the sound of birdsong.
It can accommodate up to 5 people and has a fresh and spacious feel to it. There are 2 bedrooms, an open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area and a separate bathroom. It’s perfect for young families or couples wanting privacy, tranquility and proximity to nature. Despite being close to the village it feels incredibly secluded and is reminiscent of a retreat. It’s a perfect escape..
It is pet friendly
"We had a lovely week in the cabin. Perfect for the boys and our dog. Nice being separate in the cosy cabin but knowing that help was nearby if we needed. We loved the hot tub, a great end to our days on the beach. Adam and Lynsey were really welcoming and so helpful with local information and ideas for days out. The farm is as advertised , tranquil and surrounded by lovely countryside. But it is only a short drive to all the attractions of the Gower. Definitely recommend." Carina Kaye, Devon
The cabin has a spacious living area. It’s light and airy. There are 2 double sofas positioned around a large coffee table. The dining table can seat 6 and there is outdoor dining options as well.
The master bedroom has a king size bed. The French doors open out onto the secluded patio, which is a great location for breakfast. The 2nd bedroom has bunkbeds which are perfect for accommodating kids of all ages.
The kitchen is open plan and fully equipped with everything needed for a week of self-catering. The bathroom has a power shower and is located off the the kitchen area, next to the master bedroom.
The Cabin is hidden away and therefore the grounds are special. There is a large crab apple tree at the front which is an ideal location to have lunch or dinner in the shade, whilst avoiding the sun. The private patio at the back is great in the evenings and a lovely place to relax, enjoy a glass of wine, listen to the birds and watch the horses in the fields next you. It faces south-west and therefore captures the warmth of the evening sun perfectly. As the temperature drops why not light up the log fire for a little extra warmth as the sun sets.
"Idyllic location. Comfortable cabin. Fabulous gardens for the kids. Very welcoming hosts. Thank you for all the information! Great location for exploring Gower and also the caves. We would definitely return!" Victoria Davies, Warwickshire
"This is just such a great place to explore the Gower peninsula and then head home to relax, unwind and enjoy the calm. Our party was two big people and two little'uns - 6 and 3 - the accommodation was perfect for our needs and the grounds around were great. You can easily keep to yourselves or join in with other guests at the communal outdoor seating which is a great way to unwind and get to know others if that's what you feel like doing. Around and about are some amazing beaches and castles and the hosts will happily spend time helping you plan your days to fit with your needs, the weather and the whims of the little people. There's a great supermarket nearby, so don't worry about stocking up too much before you head down and there are good restaurants, cafe and bars all around the peninsula. We're looking forward to a repeat visit in the near future." Hugh ad Daisy Crawford, London
"Adam's and Lindsay's place is amazing! We loved it. The area is really nice and quiet with loads of British nature all around. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel at home and have great ideas for trips and must sees. We would definitely come back any time.". Gregor Philips, Germany
